Pavilion and Park Master Plan
Ground-Up Design/Architecture, Construction Administration
2014-2017
Landmarks SGA was retained by the borough of Monaca in 2014 to develop a design for a new park pavilion as part of the master plan for the rehabilitation of Antoline Park. The master planning project, performed by Stromberg/Garrigan & Associates, included an evaluation of all of the park's existing facilities including pavilions, restrooms, play equipment, paths, parking, stormwater management/drainage, utilities, and vegetation. In accordance with this plan, the new Antoline Park Pavilion replaces a previous structure on the site, and provides park visitors with new concession and restroom facilities and an open-air picnic area.
The pavilion has a double pitch green roof which slopes in a sweeping, upward gesture, opening the pavilion toward the main portion of the park. The pavilion was designed with the potential for a future addition of a pumphouse area that would house the equipment for a spray pad which is also part of the master plan.
